Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine

Since our founding in 1899, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) has been at the forefront of health education – expanding both geographically and academically. What began as a medical school training students in the osteopathic tradition, has now grown into a robust hub of programs ranging from clinical psychology to forensic medicine to pharmacy and more. Our mission is to educate the next generation of caring physicians, health practitioners and behavioral scientists, to advance the science of health, and to improve the lives of the patients we treat. Our graduates are trained for meaningful careers that are as diverse as the communities they serve.

A PCOM education focuses on a whole-person approach to health and nurtures interdisciplinary collaboration and sparks innovative ways of thinking. This prepares future health professionals to be adaptive leaders in their ever-evolving fields. Because when we work together, with empathy as our foundation, we unlock the whole picture of health.

Recognizing the critical lack of physicians and other health professionals throughout Georgia – we opened our PCOM Georgia and PCOM South Georgia campuses to better serve the needs of local populations. Now, we represent a body of over 18,500 alumni who are practicing medicine and behavioral health across the nation. And as the healthcare landscape evolves, PCOM continues to educate the front lines of health with integrity and responsibility.
