Sankofa Community Farm Volunteer Day: September 11, 9:30a-12:30p

Volunteers will work alongside Farm staff to support seasonal plantings, harvesting, weeding, invasive species removal, and orchard support. Register for this volunteer opportunity here!

Volunteers will meet at the Sankofa Community Farm at 9:30 AM and be separated into groups and provided with instructions and safety protocols for the day. Out of respect and safety for our staff and others, please arrive on time.

PLEASE NOTE: Each adult must register individually in order to complete the waiver. Parents/guardians must complete registration for individuals 18 and under.

Health reminders: Masks must be worn in accordance with Pennsylvania and City of Philadelphia COVID-19 requirements. If you are sick or concerned about symptoms, please do not volunteer. Public restrooms will be open for the duration of the volunteer day and will be disinfected regularly. Hand sanitizer will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up with their pods if possible.

Skateboard at Paine’s Park

Paine’s Park is a skatepark set by the Schuylkill River that was designed to create a dialogue between skateboarding, landscape architecture, and city planning. Skating at the park is free!
