InLiquid Exhibitions Internship

The Exhibitions Intern’s role is to help support the Exhibitions Department while simultaneously gaining education and experience in exhibitions. With up to a dozen partner gallery sites where over 50 exhibitions may be presented in a calendar year, the Exhibitions Intern has an opportunity to learn about the administrative steps, research, curation, and execution of a wide range of exhibitions.

In order to help facilitate the education and growth of the Exhibition Interns, we cater the focus of the internship based on the candidates skill set and interests.

Responsibilities may include:
Research for outreach including: sites for posting open calls, targeted interest groups for exhibitions and programming, collaborative partners, competitive institutions exhibitions and programming, potential sale avenues, etc
Assist in administrative and design support as needed: promotional material, exhibition collateral, and website as needed/trained
Assist in the preparation, transportation, and installation and deinstallation of exhibitions
Options to curate exhibitions at InLiquid's partner spaces
Research and design interactive technology for online educational components to support exhibitions (ie. GIS, interactive mapping, infographics, etc)
Maintain a regular schedule, be punctual, and work effectively in a professional manner.

InLiquid Editorial Internship

About this Internship:

The Editorial Intern will work under the supervision of the Communications Coordinator. They will assist with updating and creating pages on current gallery/museum exhibitions; researching member news, activities, and events for website and monthly newsletter; and creating blog posts. Interns will be exposed to, and integrally involved in, many facets of a nonprofit visual arts organization. The interns will have a unique opportunity to gain expertise in web publication, both on the design end and the editorial end, and will develop an in-depth knowledge of a large and vibrant visual arts community. The ideal candidate will be web-savvy and have a strong interest in contemporary visual arts or art history, have strong writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn. Experience in WordPress, InDesign/Photoshop, and/or basic HTML is a plus, but not essential. This internship involves 12-16 hours a week.

Responsibilities may include:
Publish items from our event listings email to the website
Generate and research content (photos, videos, graphics, stories, etc.) to share on InLiquid’s social sites and blog
Help maintain and expand InLiquid’s social presence on multiple platforms
Assist in maintaining the organization of the online shop by uploading and fact-checking artwork descriptions to the online shop
Assist with data-entry of demographics info, artworks within our holdings management system, and other general info as needed
Maintain a regular schedule, be punctual, and work effectively in a professional manner.
Other duties as assigned

Praise Band Intern (Paid)

BCWC PRAISE BAND INTERN – 2022/2023

OVERVIEW
The Praise Band Intern helps the music ministry in leading and coordinating worship, providing musical accompaniment, administrative tasks, recruitment, and audio/visual assistance. This is a paid position lasting the entire school year. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience, improve leadership skills, and share your talents with others! Hiring undergraduate or graduate students that are currently attending a local college/university.

DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in monthly rehearsal and Sunday morning worship
• Help with worship planning and preparation
• Lead worship as needed
• Work with youth on music collaborations
• Support AV team with service preparation
• Recruitment of new members
• Offer feedback on ideas to improve ministries
• Observant of congregational worship styles and music

TIME COMMITMENT
• 5 hours per week

Marketing and Communications Intern

Prisoner Visitation and Support (PVS) is a volunteer visitation program for people incarcerated in federal and military prisons throughout the United States.

Our mission is to provide prisoners with regular, face to face contact from the world outside of prison to help them cope with prison life, encourage personal growth, and prepare for successful reentry into society.

Our vision is to provide qualified visitors to fulfill all requests for visits by prisoners in every federal and military prison.

Our priority is to visit those prisoners who: do not ordinarily receive visits from family and friends; want or need visits; are in solitary confinement; are on death row; or are serving long sentences.

Position Summary
PVS is seeking a marketing intern to help spread awareness of the organization in our communities, as well as to identify potential new organizations and groups to engage with. The internship will provide a hands-on experience from preparing marketing materials and managing supporting marketing campaigns to outreach to constituency groups. Interns have the chance to work directly with PVS Team and make true, meaningful impact during their time with the organization.

Responsibilities Include
• Prepare various marketing materials, including emails, flyers, digital campaigns etc.
• Create content and graphics using platforms such as Canva and Pinterest, for dissemination on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other social media aimed at growing new members, donors, volunteers, and business supporters, and increasing the engagement of current ones.
• Attend committee meetings remotely as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Self-starter; ability to initiate and work independently.
• Excellent time management skill
